CodeChix is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the support of women engineers.

The CodeChix website needed updating. Using the same logo, tagline, and color scheme, the updated AFTER site is seen on left, BEFORE is below. Design, navigation, architecture, image formatting, and sliders by Jenny Knuth.

The outdated site was difficult to navigate, had a dark theme, was mostly text, and used few images:

  • Project Type: Web Design
  • Goals and Constraints: Using the original CodeChix logo, tagline, and color scheme, update the CodeChix website to publicize CodeChix’s mission and events, allow people to join chapters, enable donations, appeal to sponsors, and in the future, serve as a job board for recruiters and job seekers.
  • Solution: Use a brighter, more modern design with more images and less text. Streamline the navigation and make it easy to join/donate/sponsor.
  • Skills Used: Illustrator, Photoshop, CSS, HTML, WordPress
